| Mexican Cafe Auckland The Mexican Café The Mexican Café is an eclectic restaurant, which was established to offer our customers both dinner and entertainment to suit their taste. There are approximately 140 seats but considering "turnover" the restaurant is able to seat over 300 people on any given night. We offer more than 40 dishes seasoned with chilli but adaptable for different flavour intensity (see more about Mexican Food in Menu section). In the restaurant the atmosphere can be upbeat or more relaxed. You can be as quiet or lively as you choose. Part of what has made The Mex an institution in Auckland along the years is just that - lots of different people just being themselves. We offer a bar where you can meet friends, have snacks and margaritas, or just wait for a table. The bar is capable of offering more than 40 drinks, 80 tequilas and a very extensive wine list. Our bartenders are able to create everything from different cocktails to exotic and unusual drinks. We also offer non alcoholic fruit smoothies. Our outside deck has become very popular. It has a different atmosphere where it's possible to enjoy dinner and entertainment while also enjoying the air of a typical summer night or be warmed by a heater on winter nights. The deck seats around 45 people and offers a stunning view of the famous Sky Tower. Our Private Function Room can accommodate up to 40 people. We offer set menus for your special occasions. Another indispensable factor of success is our relationship with our suppliers. They have always helped us with good deals and quality products Since 1983.This has permitted us to offer food, drinks and service that exceed our patrons expectations. The Mexican Café is open from Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 5 p.m. for lunch and dinner starts at 5 p.m. until late 7 nights. Our Happy Hour runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. when you can find a special menu and prices. Come along and enjoy this atmosphere!
